In the blue stillness of the Bahamian sea, apex predators cross paths — two tiger sharks and a great hammerhead, each commanding the water in their own way. Though both species rule these depths, encounters like this are rare. I waited, trying hard not to shift on the sandy bottom, as they drifted silently into the frame — a fleeting moment of balance between two of the ocean’s most formidable forces.
